Holy Apostles Orthodox ChurchHoly Apostles Orthodox Church is a mission parish in the Diocese of New York and New Jersey of the Orthodox Church in America (OCA).  We are under the spiritual leadership of His Grace, Bishop MICHAEL.

We are currently worshiping at the old All Saints Catholic Church in Lansing, NY.  The church is located at 347 Ridge Road at the intersection of Ridge Road and Myers Road across the street from the Lansing Middle School.

We observe the New (Revised) Calendar, and all services are in English.  Currently, clergy from Saints Peter & Paul Orthodox Church in Endicott are serving the needs of the mission.  In time, we hope to have a priest permantly assigned to the mission parish.

Divine Liturgy is served every Sunday at 9:00 AM.  3rd & 6th Hours begin at 8:30 AM.  All our welcome to attend.

The Orthodox Church was founded by our Lord Jesus Christ and is the living manifestation of His presence in the history of the mankind. The most evident characteristics of Orthodoxy are its rich liturgical life and its faithfulness to the apostolic tradition. It is believed by Orthodox Christians that their Church has preserved the tradition and continuity of the ancient Church in its fullness.

The Orthodox Church is a family of "autocephalous" (self governing) churches found throughout the entire world. They are united in common faith and communion in the sacraments. Although each regional church has an hierarchical structure, it is Christ himself who serves as the head of the Church.

The Orthodox Church today is living witness to the rich liturgical tradition handed down from the earliest centuries of Christianity. The teachings of the Church are derived from two sources: Holy Scripture, and Sacred Tradition.

The sense of the sacred, the beauty and grandeur of the Orthodox Divine Liturgy makes one experience heaven on earth. Orthodox Church art (iconography), incense, candles, and music have a very functional role in the liturgical life and help one feel the spiritual grandeur of the Lord's mysteries.
